MHE Technician

Job Purpose

To perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of material handling equipment while providing technical support to junior mechanics and ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

Principal Accountabilities

• Provide technical assistance in diagnosing and repairing various equipment, supporting junior mechanics.
• Perform inspection and repair work on a wide range of material handling equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedules and standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics.
• Rebuild engines and major driveline components when required.
• Conduct repairs on brake systems, exhaust, steering, and suspension systems.
• Repair, rebuild, and replace hydraulic components such as pumps, hoses, seals, valves, winches, and cylinders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components.
• Conduct road testing of equipment to ensure proper functionality after repairs.
• Assist other technicians with complex repair and maintenance tasks.                                                                                                                                                    

Required Qualifications

Education - Diploma

Years of Experience - Minimum4 plus years in a similar role
