Job Purpose
Responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop. Plan and supervise the maintenance and repair activities for car's Periodic Maintenance and General Repair, according to the maintenance policies, procedures and work instructions, in order to ensure quality and productivity.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure the proper operation and control of the Workshop productivity, Efficiency and Labor Utilization to all Periodic Maintenance Services and General Job Operations.
- Enforce and implement all policies, procedures and systems of workshop operations based on Toyota Customer Service Workshop Management (TSM).
- Promote Employees Satisfaction (ES) by acknowledging good performance and motivate staff thru coaching and training and establish good leadership to boost their morale.
- Conduct periodical meeting and monthly Kaizen meetings with Workshop personnel aside from weekly operation meetings to discuss work related issues and improvements.
- To be responsible for the health and safety and welfare of staff and customers in the workshop.
- Promote Fix-It-right, first time principle inside the workshop.
- Help in promoting Environmental Health and Safety in the Workshop by implementing Dealer Environment Risk Audit Program (DERAP)
- Develop plans and programs for workshop improvements thru kaizen activities
- Ensure workshop staff is properly trained for the work by having on the job training and correction and craete an advance formal training courses schedule.
- Liase with the Equipment and Facility group to monitor and control the cost for maintenance & repair of the Workshop, according to procedures and budgets. Collect the monthly inventory results for monitoring and record
- Ensure vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard, and supervises and assists in the workshop floor for all difficulty repairs and diagnosis.
- Monitor 5S as per TMC standards
- Monitor monthly tools & SST inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- Auotmotive experience is a must
- Strong technical expertise in diagnostics, repair methods, and workshop equipment
- Strong leadership & team management skills
