Technical Inspection Assistant

Job Purpose

To support the vehicle inspection process by assisting inspectors in evaluating the condition of Toyota, Lexus, and non-Toyota vehicles. The role ensures accurate assessment of vehicle mechanical, electrical, structural, and cosmetic conditions using manual and diagnostic tools, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and reporting.

Principal Accountabilities

• Collect vehicle keys and arrange vehicles for inspection across various inspection sites for Toyota, Lexus, and non-Toyota vehicles.
• Support inspectors in conducting vehicle inspections using manual checks and computerized diagnostic tools.
• Assess vehicle condition, including mechanical systems (engine, transmission), body condition (denting, paint), chassis, safety components, and other functional parts.
• Perform test drives when required to identify performance issues and recommend necessary repairs or corrective actions.
• Capture photographic evidence of vehicle damage, defects, or missing parts as part of inspection documentation.
• Check vehicle accident history using systems such as Metrash and support the preparation of accurate inspection reports.
• Prepare and submit timely inspection reports based on findings and present them to the supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to updated inspection standards and best practices          

Required Qualifications

Education - HighSchool

Years of Experience - 2 - 3 years
