Job Purpose

Responsible for the planning and coordination of the strategic and refurbishment projects & monitoring the project overall process and operations from conceptualization until completion within the budget's goals, and the required deadline

Principal Accountabilities

Provide Validation for all MEP design reports, review and verify conceptual design, and validate the detailed design.

Track the progress and quality of design being performed by design disciplines/consultants - through reports and progress meetings.

Creation of the scope of works for the tendering purpose, preparation/review of submitted offers, and evaluation, especially for the MEP systems.

Facilitate and troubleshoot issues/ Risks associated with MEP, coordinating and development, design, right-of-way acquisition, construction, and complex development projects.

Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/Consultants/Contractors - through reports and site visits.

Review and approve projects' MEP specifications, including approved layouts, drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions.

Review contractor's payments and ensure compliance with the approved BOQ (Bills of Quantities) and progress on site.

Control project costs by approving expenditures, administering contractor contracts, and verifying the claims.

Act as a POC for all end users (Internal AAM Departments) and assist with the determination of project requirements & ensure end users’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.

Assist the Projects team and Maintenance in investigating MEP issues and identifying the root cause, along with proposed solutions.

Prepare substantial completion letters/Memos and ensure all required project close-out documents are obtained.

Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others.

Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.

Assist the project manager in the planning and forecasting of budgets and timelines to ensure that the project is accurately completed on schedule and cost-effectively.

Generate reports on progress/results through the preparation of qualification packages and present the same to the project manager.   

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD & Primavera software
  • PMP‐Project Management Professional (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil construction and project management
